“Never doubt a small group of citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” Margaret Mead

Protecting the water quality of the Pamlico-Tar River basin and surrounding waters begins with safeguarding the places that each of us know and love-our very own backyard part of the river, estuary or creek. While understanding and tackling the water quality needs of an entire watershed is a lot to ask, recognizing and taking action to address and solve the water quality issues in and around your neighborhood estuary or creek is the least that all of us can do for ourselves, families and future generations.
The commitment to become a volunteer for the Pamlico-Tar River Foundation is an essential first step in helping to preserve, restore and protect your Tar-Pamlico River.
