Packet Pickup & Directions

Early packet pickup will be from noon to 5:00pm on Thursday April 22nd and 9am-4pm on Friday April 23rd at the Pamlico-Tar River Foundation office. Racers may check-in and receive their packets on the race day. Please bring a photo ID for packet pick-up.

Race Day Check-In

In order to pick up your timing chip and get body marked, participants must have their race bib. Timing chip must be returned at the finish line or participant will be charged $10.00. Only participants will be allowed in the transition area. Transition opens at 7:00am and closes at 8:30am. A mandatory pre-race meeting will be held at the beach kayak start location at 8:45am.  Details and updates will be covered concerning the race and course with questions answered.

Friday Kayak Drop-Off Available

Volunteers will be at Goose Creek State Park from 4-6pm on Friday, April 23rd if participants wish to drop off their kayak early. Participants' name and heat number will be marked or tagged on the kayak for identification. PTRF will not be responsible for damage or theft of the kayak if dropped off on Friday. Goose Creek State Park locks the main gate at 8pm.

Directions to Race Site

Goose Creek State Park is located in Beaufort County on the north side of the Pamlico River. From I-95, take US 264 east. After driving through Washington, follow US 264 east for 10 miles. Then turn right onto Camp Leach Road and travel 2.3 miles to the park entrance, located on the right.
