With a clear vision for the future and a rich history of helping to preserve and protect our watershed, the Pamlico-Tar River Foundation asks for your support in helping us thereby protect our quality of life and sense of place here in Eastern North Carolina. We aim to celebrate our successes by continuing to educate others about the significance of our natural resources. Your gifts will contribute to:                                                                                                                        

• Ongoing development of educational programs and materials (in English and Spanish) for all ages
• Engaging stakeholders in an annual Tar-Pamlico River summit
• Organizing educational workshops, including "Living Shorelines" and "Low Impact Development" programs
• A continued on-the-river presence to monitor the health of the River and catch polluters in the act
• Lobbying efforts for the passage of improved coastal stormwater regulations that will slow down the trend of increasing shellfish and swimming beach closures
• PTRF's participation in state-wide effort to overhaul North Carolina's water policies in order to protect the integrity of our rivers and estuaries.
• A new volunteer monitoring effort, "Muddy Water Watch"
• Continuing our role  as the "last line of defense" for the Tar-Pamlico River
