Diversity Initiative for Inclusive Watershed Protection

The Diversity initiative's purpose it to assess the environmental and conservation needs of diverse populations. The project was launched in February, 2008. Currently, staff are working on methods to assess diverse populations perceptions of environmental issues and their needs related to the environment. Step two will be to create programs and services targeting diverse populations in order to bring environmental education into every home in the watershed. All programs and services created by PTRF for this project will be shared with other conservation groups across the state.
Anyone that would like further information, please contact our Outreach Coordinator, Tim McCaffrey.
This project is made possible by funding from the Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation.
